OUR CURRENT READING LIST:
what to expect when you're expecting (murkoff, eisenberg, hathaway)
this seems to be a staple book, so what the hey? questions and answers, assures you that your symptoms are normal. includes a very strict diet.
your pregnancy week by week (glade b. curtis, judith schuler)
breaks down each individual week by symptoms and size/progress of the baby. makes each week interesting.
the expectant father (armin a. brott, jennifer ash)
explains what the mother is feeling as well as what the expectant father might be through each month of the pregnancy. written by a father who couldn't find any good literature when his wife got pregnant.
the panic-free pregnancy (michael s. broder, md)
this book is a god-send. it dispels myths about pregnancy, and explains what a pregnant woman can actually do/eat as well as what she shouldn't. it cuts down on all the worrying about things like going to the salon or the dentist (both of which are safe during pregnancy, by the way).
the new basics: a-z baby & child care for the modern parent (michel cohen, md)
thank you paul and angela! this book is really good. and entertaining. similar to the aforementioned book, it dispels wives' tales and tells parents of infants and toddlers what they should worry about, and more importantly, what theyshouldn't worry about.
